How To Get A Wood Look With Chalk Paint

I accept used this Wood Look Paint Technique so many times on various items in our home considering it not merely looks bang-up, just it is really easy!

I originally discovered this false woods technique from my friend Lauren of Anoint'er Firm.

We take greyness and white cabinets in our kitchen, and our hood is plaster and original to the house. I love the shape of the hood, just I wanted it a wooden hood. Pigment was the solution.

Painting a piece to look like wood only requires iii steps:

1. Pigment the piece with a white chalk paint.

2. *Dry brush spot with a dark greyness chalk paint.

3. Wax the unabridged piece using a *nighttime wax.

*Use any brand of chalk-type paint y'all like, but I take found that the Annie Sloan wax has the best consistency for this project – and is worth the extra money!
